Chaosmonaut is a 2-piece experimental doom metal band from Boise, ID. Joe Turmes plays the guitar/bass hybrid and designs the samples. Joey Turmes plays drums, guitar, bass and whatever else you throw at him.

For this performance, Joey challenged us to write a doom metal song in a major key; so we wrote this in A Harmonic Major with the idea of capturing the essence of a manic episode.

Samples are taken from the double rainbow guy and an old video of a 50's housewife on LSD.

Chaosmonaut was born out of a desire to eschew the trappings of the typical rigid band song writing process and instead commit to capturing the zeitgeist of each set individually.
